May 22, 1864, and discharged therefrom May 23,1864, to report for duty near Petersburg, Va. Appears on report of C. S. Hospital at Petersburg, Va. for June 1864, with remarks. "Wounded, right leg fractured, June 17, 1864, resulting in amputation of upper third of right leg, done same day before admission. Transferred to Poplar Lawn Hospital, in this city, July l4th." List dated February 24, 1865, of detailed men and employees on duty in hospital and in the public guard at Lynchburg, Va., shows him on guard by authority of General Lee.
