Philo Connally

He was listed in the 1850 Murray County Census as Philow Connally. Confederate military records listed him as Philo W. Connally.

The 1850 Census indicated that his father had been born in Tennesse, his mother and all of her children were born in Georgia. The family was listed as: Nathaniel Connally, age 36; Mary Connally, age 33; Emily Connally, age 12; Philow Connally, age 10; and Mathew Connally, age 4. Both of these companies engaged in fighting at Chickamauga, Georgia, September 19-20, 1863; Philadelphia, Tennessee, October 15-25, 1863; Campbell's Station, Tennessee, November 16, 1863; Missionary Ridge, Tennessee, November 26, 1863; Knoxville, Tennessee which was under siege November 17 - December 4, 1863; Athens, Alabama, January 26, 1864; Dalton, Georgia, February 22-27; 1864; Tunnel Hill, Georgia, May 7, 1864; Resaca, Georgia, May 14-15, 1864; New Hope Church, Georgia, May 25, 1864; and Kennesaw, Georgia, June 27, 1864.
