Thomas C. Crawford


Thomas C. Crawford was born about 1833 in Georgia. In 1860 the Census listed Thomas C. Crawford, age 27; Mary An (one n) Crawford, age 21; William H. Crawford, age 2; and Mary F. Crawford, age 1, using the post office at Spring Place.

Confederate Army records contain the following: Thomas Crawford enlisted as a Private in Company B, 3rd Battalion Infantry Georgia, February 15, 1862. Transferred from that unit into Company A, 37th Infantry Regiment Georgia, May 6, 1863. He died at Atlanta, Georgia, on September 2, 1862. No details of his death are included in the record.
