MURRAY COUNTY POETRY

Poems by Murray Poets and Poems About Murray County
SONG OF MURRAY
by Charles Shriner

Dear, dear old Murray, where my school days were spent,
Be there my dwelling, land of sweetest content,
Nearest and dearest to my hear ever be
Home of my childhood, dear old Murray for me.

Chorus:
Murray for me, Murray for me.
Home of my childhood, dear old Murray for me.

No other skies are quite so bright or so fair,
No other climate with thine own can compare,
No other birds can sing so blithe or so free–
Home of my childhood, dear old Murray for me.
